You make rules for it, play it in Hauptraum, and however it turns out, show its outcome, record, or trace right there as your work. It’s easy and fun because you don’t produce your work, the game does it for you, through chance. By using materials and situations available in the Secession only, each of us will conceive and perform three simple procedures, each in a different ‘para-active’ type: 1. Auto-Active - A solitary game-like procedure to play with your body or life. - In or around the Hauptraum, you do something little by little, daily or for a whole day, following your own rules. 2. Counter-Active - A solitary game-like procedure to play with the space or situation. - In the empty Hauptraum, you find a detail that intrigues you, and react to it, following your own rules. 3. Inter-Active - A collective game-like procedure to play with each other. - In the empty Hauptraum, we interact with each other through bodily movements, following your own rules. *Here are work examples for each type. The most important thing is you take part in this project. In any case, we communicate each other personally via email or text to discuss the rules of your games. Honorarium for your participation and contribution In preparation... Group exhibition 'Big White Playground' Where: Hauptraum [within my solo show]. When: Opening Fri. 7.3.2025; runs from 8.3 to 18.5.2025. *While the group-exhibition framework (which is immaterial) is my work, the group show itself is a group show in its own right, to be announced on a linked separate page, with your name as a participating artist. *Only works made in response to the assignments will be exhibited (no other works admitted). *The works will be presented as your works – not as mine, of course. *Your work will co-exist with two of my films, from each of which one person’s voice reverberates throughout the space.
